Disney is cracking down on people who are using their job offers to apply for Disney jobs, Disney officials announced Monday.
In an announcement posted on its official website, the Walt Disney Company said employees will no longer be able to claim a job offer from a third party.
That means employees who want to use their offer to apply to Disneyland, Disneyland Resort, Hollywood Studios or other Disney jobs will have to file a claim with the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing.
In order to avoid this scam, all job offers should be accompanied by a job posting, Disney said.
Disney said it will work with other employers to help employees with this task.
It’s important to note that job offers from third parties will not be considered valid for eligibility to apply at Disney.
This means if you have been employed by a Disney employee for years and would like to apply again, you must complete the job posting with the employer and then file the claim with Fair Employment & Housing, Disney added.
