Orlando, Fla.

(AP) – The head of a large health care technology firm that has hired a number of new jobs in the Orlando area says the company is hiring and expanding jobs in other parts of the state.

Robert D. Anderson said in a statement that NRK Health Inc. has “added nearly 700 new jobs” in the state, including about 150 new positions in Orlando in recent months.

The company said it will hire about 4,000 people this year.

In addition, the company has begun a hiring drive for about 1,400 people who will start next year.

The Orlando area is among the state’s fastest-growing regions, according to the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity.

More than 200,000 jobs were created in the region in the past five years.
