A designer who is a ‘great job’ in her field is looking for work, and that’s exactly what her employer has in mind.
A job advert posted online by the brand ‘Whole Foods’ on Monday has been viewed more than 1 million times and received hundreds of responses from people looking for a career change.
“I want to be a designer and I love design.
I’m a product designer so I’m passionate about design,” the ad’s description reads.”
And I want to do this because I want my family to be healthier, happier, healthier people, I want our kids to have fun, I love food, I’m really into food and I just want to create an environment where I can be more than just a part of that,” the advert reads.
According to Whole Foods, designers can be found in a variety of roles from design to business development and even as a sales associate.
But it seems that the most important role the ad describes for a designer is the role of a product manager.
The advert is also quite relevant in light of a recent study that found women earn less than men at every job, regardless of gender.
“We want to bring a little more diversity to the workforce,” Whole Foods spokeswoman Stephanie McLean told Al Jazeera.
“Our goal is to give our customers a better experience.”‘
We are in a constant state of change’A spokesperson for the company added that it was important to emphasize diversity in all of its roles.
“Whole Foods has always been about giving our customers the best experience and we see diversity as a key component of our identity,” they said.
“At the end of the day, it’s about creating a diverse workplace that welcomes everyone to work together, not just the ones that share a similar skill set.”‘
It feels like a dream come true’The company added it was happy with the responses to its job advert, saying they had been received very well.
“It felt like a kind of a dream that came true for many of our employees.
They are excited to be working here and they are excited about this new opportunity,” McLean said.
Whole foods, which is owned by Walmart, has seen strong growth in the US since it opened in 2010.
The company has since become a global powerhouse, but the majority of its workforce are women.
“The majority of the workforce are female,” Mclean told Al-Jazeera.

“In the last year, we’ve had a number of job ads that have had over 1 million views on our Facebook page, and they’ve all had the same message: ‘We are more than a food store.
We are a family’,” McLean explained.”
When we first started the company, we were not going to take this job at face value.
We wanted to create a company culture that encourages and supports diversity, and we really wanted to make sure that this wasn’t a way that we were going to feel unwelcome.”
Whole grocery brands have also made it clear that they are not going away anytime soon.
“A lot of our workforce is female and we want to make it a family environment where we treat them with respect, and in fact we have created a ‘family club’ for our female employees that they can work on their projects together,” McLeans added.
“But it’s really important to make this a place where we feel comfortable to do what we do, and I really believe that is important for a company to be able to sustain itself.”
