The company has posted openings for warehouse jobs in New England, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Maryland, Virginia and Pennsylvania, and it has about 50 openings for its New York warehouse, according to a statement from Amazon.

The company says the New York job openings are part of an expansion of the company’s New York fulfillment program.

“The New York program will create over 1,000 new jobs and is expected to bring up to 5,000 additional jobs to the state,” the company said.

Amazon says it is hiring a mix of warehouse workers, with the company looking to fill positions in warehouse-like areas such as fulfillment centers, warehouse offices and other “vast warehouses” in New Brunswick, New Hampshire, Massachusetts and the Washington, D.C., area.

The program also includes new positions for “super-efficient” people who can handle the stress of a warehouse job and have a proven track record of producing high-quality products.

The Amazon warehouse program, which is open to anyone with a valid driver’s license and a minimum two-year employment history, requires applicants to work for an employer with five to 10 employees and a weekly wage of $8.50 to $12.25.

The program requires employers to pay $13 an hour, plus health insurance.

Amazon is currently looking for warehouse workers in New Hampshire and Pennsylvania and in the Washington region.
